Easy Granola Recipe: Quick Prep and Kid-Friendly

This granola recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prep and will last weeks in an airtight container and months in the freezer.

  • 4 Cups Rolled oats
  • 3 Cups Any combination of: peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
  • 1/4 Cup Melted butter
  • 1/4 Cup Peanut butter
  • 1/2 Cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

    Combine dry ingredients in large bowl and set aside.

    Melt butter and pour into medium-sized glass bowl. Add in peanut butter and brown sugar. Place in oven for 2-3 minutes then remove and stir (this step will heat the peanut butter enough to make mixing easier, but won’t burn it). 

    Pour wet ingredients over dry and mix thoroughly. 

    Spread evenly on large cookie sheet with edge. Bake for 15 minutes. Stir granola, then bake for another 15 minutes. Stir granola once more and cook for 15 more minutes (for a total of 45 minutes). 

    Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.
