About Little Earthling Photography

Hello, friends, I am so glad you have found my website! My name is Renee and I have owned my business since 2009 and have been shooting births since 2010. I love shooting lifestyle sessions, kids with special needs, and most of all the miracle of birth. Earlier this year I started partnering with Doulas of Bellingham as their associate photographer.

Apollo’s World

Posted on September 11, 2012February 17, 2019 by Renee

And speaking of that toddler, I have to share a few things he’s…

Tilly @ 13 {Bellingham Custom Portrait Photographer}

Posted on March 5, 2012July 18, 2013 by Renee

Why Custom Photography? {Bellingham Custom Photographer}

Posted on February 27, 2012June 9, 2019 by Renee

People often wonder about custom photographers…why spend so much more? Why not go to a local studio franchise where you can get 138 photos for $59.95 (or something like that)? After all, a photo is a photo, right? The truth is, custom photography is a luxury. One big difference between custom photography and  the other…

Apollo {10 Months}

Posted on April 28, 2011July 18, 2013 by Renee

This was the one and only salvageable photo from Apollo's ten month photo shoot. Don't worry, I plan to reshoot as soon as the rain goes away. If it goes away. Apollo is weighing in at 16 pounds 8 ounces…he's gained no weight this month. He went to the doctor this month so we could…

Distance From Subject

Posted on February 24, 2011February 15, 2019 by Renee

A while back I posted about aperture, and why it matters. Many, many amateur photographers and mom-tographers, want desperately to know how to get that cool "blurry background". There are many things that affect the depth of field in a photo. One of those is the aperture. Another is the distance of the subject from…
