Mom called me (Iri0 this morning and asked me to update the blog for her. So here is a list of details about his surgery and also prayer requests.
1. The whole procedure is going to take about 3 hours total. They have to spend a lot of time positioning him and getting the airway in, so only 1-1 1/2 hours is going to be with the surgeon working on him.
2. If his chest is full of fluid after the surgery they will have to put a chest tube in. If not, his hospital stay could be cut down by 1-2 days. Please pray that he will not have any fluid in his chest, both because the sooner he can get home the better, and also because of the risk of infection.
3. They are going to have to deflate his lung to have room to work in there, so pray that will go well with no complications.
4. He might not need to stay in the ICU at all, depending on how his breathing is.
The actual surgery is at 12:50 today, so please keep Apollo in your prayers. We really appreciate it.
