Iris is home and resting well. I am so thankful to be here to help her through these first few days and weeks. Percy decided to arrive early on in my trip, just two days after I arrived. This means we have plenty of time to hang out before I need to head home.
Percival Darcy made his way earthside just two days before his due date and in plenty of time for Grandma to hold and cuddle him.
Percival is a big boy weighing in at 8 pounds 3 ounces. I would tell you how long he was, except they never measured him after he was born.
Really.
After a few days in the hospital, Iris and Percy are home and resting. BEN! runs his own farrier business so there is only so much time he can take off. Thankfully, his sister, Claire, is here helping out as well.
Which is a good thing since I am terrified of driving on the left side of the road.
I am so, so, glad that the timing worked out so perfectly. I was here long enough to get two nights’ sleep and rest up before the big day.
This is Percy mid-sneeze. See the photo below for the exciting conclusion!
Percy is obviously the cutest kiwi baby EVER.
Happy Thanksgiving, to all of my American friends.
I am sure I don’t need to tell you what I am thankful for this year.
Congratulations Adalia and Ben! I absolutely adore his hair line.
Thank you! Adalia had the same hairline and Ben also has a widow’s peak.
Adorable! Congratulations to all! He is a big guy, and so very handsome!!
Yes, big and handsome!
He is adorable! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Thank you!
Oh my goodness, how adorable!! I’m so glad that he’s arrived safely…also so glad that you’re there to help. It reminds me of my mom coming to Israel to help me when my second son was born. Sweet memories… 🙂
I hope the adjustment goes well for all the family!
Yes the early days are beautiful and challenging at the same time!
He reminds me so much of Chuck!
Congratulations Adalia and Ben!! And congratulations to you and Chuck on your first grandchild! He’s so handsome!
