Yes, it’s true. Twenty-two month old Apollo attended church today. Quick, write it on your calendars. Last time he went was in November, and he hadn’t been for months previous to that. Not only did he go to church today, but he smiled for the camera as well.
See his lip? He fell and bit all the way through it on Friday. Poor boy was crying so hard he couldn’t breathe and he was choking on blood….so sad.
If I didn’t know better, I’d say he was playing the camera…really I got him to smile by telling him to say “Piglet”. Oh, and don’t take his church attendance to mean he actually slept last night. Chuck fell asleep rocking him and finally put him in his bed at 9:15…he awoke at 10 and was restless, fussing, crying and talking in his sleep for the rest of the night.
But, his bedtime anxiety is better (due to the meds) and he is now falling asleep by 8:30 or so (due to the Melatonin). So things are better than they have been post-surgery, he’s just still not sleeping well at night. Oh, and he sounds like a 95-year-old man with emphysema. But other than that, he’s doing well.

Apollo’s lookin’ handsome. Love seeing him seem more “up” in spirit. I thought it was chocolate on his lips. Poor guy, I really wish it was after reading what it really is. I hope peaceful sleep will consistently be making its way into his routine.
he looks great..not the lip…but is wonderful to see the smile. i love the curly hair too…i could just give him a big hug!

Why does he sound like he has emphysema? Is that permanent? The pictures are just adorable, the healthiest he has looked in so long. I am sure everyone at church loved having both of you there.
My son did the same thing to his own lip a few months ago. And his Easter pictures from this year all feature a prominent stripe of rug burn right down the bridge of his nose, courtesy of a fall at the hospital while I was delivering his new baby brother. Sigh.
