Washington State Patrol Academy: Judah is on his Way!
Today was Judah’s first day as a Washington State Patrol Cadet! He spent the last year working in dispatch and just got hired on as a cadet. He is so excited and we are so very proud of him. I was thrilled when he came over and let me take pictures of him in his new uniform.
Judah came to visit this Saturday so I could take pictures of him (and for the free dinner, of course). We spent the afternoon hiking near Lake Whatcom. Apollo was over the moon to have his big brother home and spent most of the hike talking his ear off. It is so precious to see your children grow up and in turn nurture and love on their younger siblings. While I know having a large family isn’t for everyone, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
So here we are. Twenty-one years into parenting this guy, and I couldn’t be any prouder of him. He has a strong sense of justice, he wants to keep people safe, to help people in need. He tells corny jokes and has an endless supply of BAD puns. He knows how to cook a healthy meal (from scratch) and how to treat a lady. He does his own laundry, pays his bills, and takes the time time to play with his little brother when he comes home for visits.
Here’s one guy I wouldn’t mind getting a ticket from.
