Philly Cheesesteak Pizza Recipe
If you know me at all, you probably know that I love pizza…and that a good sandwich is one of my favorite foods…one day my friend mentioned putting leftover steak on the pizza she had baked and suddenly I started thinking about just how perfectly the ingredients for a cheesesteak would combine with pizza…the idea floated around in my head for a while.
It took a few tries, but I do believe I have perfected the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza recipe.
When Kalina tried this she said, “It tastes just like cheesesteaks…only better”.Â
It starts with a homemade crust (but store bought or premade would be just fine too), a creamy garlic sauce, strips of grilled steak, caramelized onions and green peppers.
I mean how amazing does this look for pizza toppings?
Pure heaven by the slice, right here!

Pizza Dough Recipe
This dough is easy to make, as long as you have the time to let it rise.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 cups flour
Instructions
In a large bowl combine the yeast, sugar, and water. Let stand for 10 minutes or until foamy. Stir in the oil and garlic salt. Add 3 cups of flour and blend. At this point, the dough should be soft and pliable. Slowly add more flour until it is no longer sticky.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place dough in an oiled bowl and turn twice to coat. Cover bowl with kitchen towel or plastic wrap and set in a warm place to rise for 90 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size.
When the dough is done rising, punch down and divide into two pieces. Roll each piece into a circle and place on pizza pan. Add pizza toppings.
Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
And now, for the real magic…
