Real Energy for Real Adventures

Hormel Rev Wraps
I had this totally crazy dream last night. I am missing Enoch and thinking of all the fun adventures he’s going to have and I guess thoughts of him are seeping into my subconscious. I know you’re dying to hear my dream. Likely you wake up every morning (from your own dreams) hoping I’ll post about mine. I don’t want to disappoint, so here it goes:  I dream I walked out of the bathroom and nearly bumped into Enoch in the hall. “What are you doing here?” I asked.  “I had to come home” he answered. “I can’t go to Tanzania.” I was so confused. He was leaving in two days…I hadn’t gotten a phone call or anything. In my dream, Chuck had picked him up (apparently he took a quick trip to Florida and I didn’t notice) and brought him home. Enoch explained that they weren’t going to let him go to Tanzania because of the rash Judah and Tilly had gotten on their faces (don’t ask me what that means). By their very nature, dreams don’t really make any sense. I was so upset. I checked Facebook (hey, it was a dream) and there was a post from one of his team leaders explaining that they were all sad Enoch could not continue to Tanzania with them.  I was freaking out. I made phone calls, determined that he would get to go. I found out that if he took a yogi class (don’t ask me) that cost $200, he might be able to go, but he needed to take it that night so he could meet his team and fly off to Africa. And then at some point  I woke up. Don’t you love how real events (a  trip to Tanzania) seep into our subconscious and our dreams? Chuck thinks I’m crazy, but this is coming from a man who claims he never dreams. This summer we have only nine children at home (three of those are teens). Enoch will come home in August and couple of weeks later Judah will head off to Central Washington University. Our family is in a constant state of flux these days, it seems. Judah and Tilly are both taking summer classes at the community college and working. Both are gone each day and still have to pack lunches. Lately I have been giving them HORMEL® REV® Wraps. They are made with real meat and real cheese for real energy. I love that they are protein packed (12 grams!) Tilly has been grabbing one to snack on between classes. I love knowing she is getting plenty of protein energy to keep her going. Best of all, no prep for me. As you all know, the majority of our meals are made from scratch, so I love the convenience of HORMEL® REV® Wraps.  Real Meat and Real Cheese for Real Energy
And aside from trips to Tanzania and summer classes at the college, Mordecai is loving his camp, but coming home exhausted every night. Hezekiah has two more weeks of his math and science camp. So far he has built: a plane that broke before they could fly it, a car that won first place in a race, and a rocket that won second place. He is learning so much and loving it. Avi has not complained at all about summer school (she also has just two weeks left). I think she is actually enjoying it this year.   Which HORMEL® REV® Wrap do you want to try? I have bought the REV packages once or twice before and my son loves them. he is always asking for them for his lunches. I am a mean mom and rarely buy them, but he would love it if i bought them on a regular basis. he does say that they fill him up pretty well. He prefers the ham.

I would be willing to try any flavor. Watching my weight and sugar I am always needing more protein. I have seen them in the stores but never thought about how reading the label…ugh! Thanks for the insight!

I would like the turkey and cheese, but my kids would go bonkers for the pepperoni one. I have been having a big problem lately with daily anxieties working into my dreams, and there are so many aspects of your daily stressors in that dream! The scheduling thing alone (has to be done tonight!), the unexpected cost (these things pop up all the time!), and the loss of an opportunity for one child because of being in a family with other children…all of these things are such a big deal for me, and clearly for you, too.

I would like to try the peppered turkey – but my kids would also like the pepperoni. My dreams have been off the chart weird lately. I’m chalking it up to stress.

We have had these Rev Wraps many times over the summer, and our favorite one is the Turkey and Cheese Wraps on the Go!

There are so many flavors I want to try, but I want to try the Hormel Rev Turkey Bacon Ranch the most! They look delicious!

The peppered turkey is the one I would try, however the kids would want the pepperoni one. They look so delicious and a easy way to grab a bite on the go. My email is ccnicholson09(at) yahoo(dot) com

I didn’t realize they had so many flavors… I’ve only seen a few locally. Glad to hear the positive reviews on them…they look like one of the better healthier options for a grab-an-go lunch from a grocery store. I’ll have to give them a try. (Oh… And I think I’d pick the Ham, Turkey and Cheese if I can find that one.)

Probably the Italian style. We love Italian subs at our house. With 4 at football/cheer every night from 6-8:30 dinner is early and after practice snacks essential. These would be great! I’ve never tried them but have always wondered whether they’re good.

I’ve been buying them since they appeared in the cold case. They are handy snacks, easy to take with, and other than the buffalo chicken, I’ve been sold on them. I like the turkey bacon club the best. Best thing to come out of Hormel since Spam.

We eat turkey and cheese sandwiches almost every day, so we’d probably go with the old standby! Fun to see this post as I am sending #4 off to school for the first time – Pre-1st (the euphemistic name for repeating Kindergarten) – it was a total bust at home last year. I’ve been trying to come up with a lunch meal for each day of the week and we’ll have to try these and see if they pass muster as one of his choices!

Would love to try this product for my kids lunches.
It’s do hard to find variety when it comes to packing lunches.
I know they both would love these.
With all the protein in them one cannot go wrong.
Thanks for the opportunity to try something new and different.

Hmmm, I’d buy any of them, I guess… maybe the ham? I do wish they were nitrite-free or had some other meat-free protein alternatives.

I’d like to try the Italian one. These look like a good quick snack on the go. Both my kids are gymnasts and are always needing protein to keep them going.

The ham, pepperoni and mozzarella sounds good. Glad to hear all is going well and the kids are staying busy with good things. You are one busy family as of late.

  18. slehan

I’d like the Italian style since I really like the flavors. Very quick and easy.
    Thanks for the contest.
