Are there any other cheesecake fans out there? I love a good cheesecake but they aren’t always easy to find. Some are too dry or undercooked.

Years ago my mother-in-law gave me a cheesecake recipe that was so simple and easy to make. I have been making this ever since and have just recently been experimenting with new flavors. My most recent? Cranberry-Orange Cheesecake.

Easy Cranberry Orange Cheesecake

This cheesecake is fail-proof! Blending the cranberry sauce then swirling it into the cake means the cheesecake is smooth and velvety and looks like a piece of artwork!

Prep Time 20 minutes
Servings 8 people

Ingredients

Crust

  • 3/4 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Filling

  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 8 ounce bricks of cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange extract
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce blended and smooth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Spray springform pan and add liner to bottom of pan.

  3. In medium bowl, mix crushed graham crackers and melted butter. When graham crackers are wet through, press gently into bottom of springform pan. Refrigerate while you make the filling

For Filling

  1. In electric mixer add cream cheese and beat until smooth (no lumps left). Add in sugar while mixer is running on low and cream thoroughly. Add in beaten eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, and orange extract. Mix until smooth.

  2. Blend cranberry sauce in blender until smooth.

  3. Remove crust from refrigerator. Gently poor cheesecake mixture into springform pan. With spoon, create a small hole in middle of cheesecake mixture. Gently pour blended cranberry sauce into hole. Take spoon and gently swirl in and outward motion.

  4. Carefully place cheesecake in oven. Bake for 38-40 minutes. Cheesecake should still be slightly jiggly in middle. To prevent falling and cracking, turn oven off and let cool in the oven for one hour.

  5. Remove cheesecake refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve cold.
