Lake Day with Grace Church

Summer time. Living life to the fullest. Taking time to savor each day. Taking note of the beauty around us. This is what we’re doing this summer.Lake Whatcom, kids in lake, large family, adoption Lake Whatcom, kids in lake, large family, adoptionrubber ducks, lake whatcom, kids in lake, large family, grace church

Our church had a Lake Day for the teens…and since I’m TMOMT (The Mother of Many Teens) I got to go along as well. The sun was shining. The water was warm. The wind was ablowin’. It was beautiful. Lake Whatcom, kids in lake, large family, adoptionlake whatcom, apollo, kids in lake, large family  Lake Whatcom, kids in lake, large family, adoption

My children all love the water, something I am very thankful for. No fear for these guys, just pure bliss.storyboard003lake whatcom, lake day, large family, apollo lake whatcom, lake day, large family, apollo

Swimming, boating, tubing, barbecuing. lake whatcom, lake day, large family, apolloIt was pretty much, a perfect day.

I like to look at the pictures of your family days. You always take great photos!

Okay so silly question… Do you require your girls to wear shorts with their swimming suits or do they just prefer it that way?

I get asked that question every summer! It is a hard one to answer. Yes, we prefer the girls to cover anything that would be normally covered by their underwear 🙂 And yes, we require modest bathing suits. I asked Tilly, Iris and Kalina if they would prefer NOT to wear shorts or a skirt and they all gave a resounding “no”. So, yes we “require” it, but they have no desire to *not* wear some type of cover-up.
