I am so excited to share this ice cream recipe with you! It combines a few of my favorite things: coffee and ice cream! Why make homemade ice cream? Its fast, easy and contains all-natural ingredients.
Mmmm…doesn’t that look delicious?
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
3 packets of Starbucks Via Coffee
2 cups whipping cream
2 cups half and half
1 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
Step 2: Mix ingredients
It is very important that you dissolve the Via Coffee in the cream and half and half first. Trust me on this one.
Mix cream, half and half and Via Coffee. Next, add sugar and vanilla. When ingredients are combined, put in ice cream maker and start!
I have this Cuisinart 2 Quart Ice Cream Maker. It doesn’t require any ice or salt (you simply freeze the ice cream container). It makes homemade ice cream quick and easy. It takes about 30 minutes start to finish to have delicious, homemade ice cream!
There you have it.
5 ingredients, 2 steps and 30 minutes to homemade ice cream!
WOW…the pictures are great!! the ice cream looks pretty good too :0)
Thanks, Vivian. Wish you were here so we could share 🙂

Never thought to use instant coffee in ice cream. Awesome idea!
It makes it so easy! And you an adjust just how strong you want the coffee flavor to be by adding more or less…
I’m dying to buy an ice cream maker so I can try recipes like this. Coffee ice cream is my favorite.
Buy one! You won’t regret it.
We love homemade ice cream – my son particularly likes participating in making it! We have got to try this one!

Oh man, coffee ice cream is my favorite! I make vanilla and other fruit ice creams all the time, but I never even thought about trying to make coffee.
Coffee and ice cream are the perfect combo. Even my kids love this.
