Oh boy, doesn’t that little man look sweet and innocent? Just add a halo and angel wings and he’d be set. That doesn’t look like the face of a boy who doesn’t sleep at night and keeps his mama up…or does it? Look at the puffy eyes. The sign of a boy who really doesn’t sleep enough. My little guy needs some answers to his problems. And hopefully, we get some today.
Apollo has an appointment at 10:30 to see the ENT he saw exactly seven months ago. At that time the ENT stuck a camera down his nose and into his upper airways. He said his esophagus and voice box were red and inflamed- likely from reflux- but everything looked fine structurally. Now the doctors believe he has some type of obstruction in his trachea. The pulmonologist kept assuring us he doesn’t believe he has a disease but that something is structurally wrong with his trachea.
*sigh*
The scope sent down back in May doesn’t go down far enough to see the trachea, hence the upcoming bronchoscopy. We are hoping and praying for some answers. Apollo has suffered enough.
Finally, a smile!
I had to take these pictures yesterday to show off my latest knitting project. I knit this little gray vest to add an extra layer of warmth on cold winter days. It’s the Toddler T-shirt Vest from Sam Lamb. It was a quick and easy knit and could totally be spruced up with a few different colors or adding a little seed stitch or something along the front. I chose gray for this because I wanted it to match his serious personality. I see more of these in his future…
Praying for Apollo and your entire family! I was wondering if you could recommend any good books/web sites for someone who would like to start knitting? I have absolutely NO experience, but would love to learn.
Hi there, I’ve been reading your blog for a while but I don’t think that I’ve commented before. I just wanted to let you know that I’ve said a prayer for your little Apollo, for some answers to his health problems and for improvements to his health soon. And for more sleep for you too! Praying for peace of mind for you too.
Aww he is absolutely gorgeous! I hope you get some answers soon:(
There have been so many times that I wanted to comment or email you! I have a daughter who went through a lot of medical things as a baby trying to determine what was going on with her. Finally at about 2 years old, we found answers. My heart hurts for you and your family. We pray for you regularly, that God would heal Apollo and give you and the doctors’ wisdom to help him.
Absolutely a beautiful boy! I know this is shallow, but I love the shoes too! Praying for good news or news of any kind soon. Take Care!
He is too cute for words. And that vest is darling! Praying that you have answers soon!

Jessica- I don't have any specific books or websites I can suggest. I taught myself to knit 13 years ago with a book I got from the library…
